Objectives: Raise awareness about diabetes, its risk factors, and complications, Promote early detection and diagnosis, Advocate for improved access to diabetes care and treatment, Encourage healthy lifestyles to prevent Type 2 diabetes
Key Messages: Diabetes is a serious health issue affecting 1 in 11 adults worldwide (463 million people), Type 2 diabetes is preventable through healthy lifestyles, Early detection and treatment can prevent complications, Equal access to diabetes care is essential.
Statistics:1 in 5 people with diabetes remain undiagnosed, Diabetes accounts for 1.5 million deaths annually, 79% of adults with diabetes live in low- and middle-income countries
