Introduction:
The Jaipur Foot was a significant and impactful event aimed at providing artificial limbs, polio calipers, and crutches to individuals with disabilities. This humanitarian initiative was organized by Lions Club of Pune Supreme, Lions Club Parbhani Men, and Lions Parivar Latur. The event was led by President Rameshwar Maniyar (Lions Club Pune Supreme), President Avi Tak (Lions Club Parbhani Men), and Lions member Ln. Sushil Mundada. The initiative sought to enhance the quality of life for people with mobility challenges, giving them the opportunity to regain independence and lead more empowered lives.
The event was graced by President Avi Tak, Project Chairman P. Vivekanand, and Jagdish Hedda. Also present were Lions Parivar Latur President Sudarshan Kanje, Dr. Ajay Narayankar, Sharad More, Nagnath Gitte, Rahul Malwadkar, P. Ramkrishna, Rameshwar Maniyar, Sushil Mundada, Akash Ambade, Rajani Ambade, and other dedicated members of the Lions family.
The camp was compered by Ashok Panchal, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Ashwini Narayankar.
Venue:
The venue at P.V. Physics Classes, Udyog Bhavan, Latur was carefully inspected to ensure it had adequate space for the Jaipur Foot technical team, registration counters, and fitting zones for prosthetic devices.
Beneficiaries:
A total of 140 individuals benefited from this camp, receiving artificial limbs, calipers, and crutches to support their journey toward mobility and independence.
