The Lions Club of Nairobi HURU, in partnership with the Visual Pigmentosa Aids Initiative, organized a heartfelt event on Monday, 28th April 2025, at Pattni Brotherhood Hall. The event aimed to support individuals with disabilities and the visually impaired through the distribution of assistive mobility aids.
During the event, a tricycle was proudly presented to a person with a disability from the Deep Sea community, providing them with improved mobility and independence. This generous gesture reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering differently-abled individuals.
In addition, the Club contributed 100 white canes to the Visual Pigmentosa Aids Initiative. These will be distributed across various counties in the coming weeks to assist visually impaired individuals in navigating their daily lives with greater confidence and dignity.
The event was attended by members of both organizations, beneficiaries, and supporters of the cause. The collective efforts made towards this initiative demonstrate the power of community collaboration in creating meaningful impact.
